Join us for the 14th Annual Run Like It’s Recess 5K Run/Walk, 1K, and Toddler Run
5K Start Time: 9 am
1K Start Time: 10:15 am
Toddler Run Start Time: 10:45
This annual event is hosted by Newcomb Academy PTSA, which serves Newcomb Academy (Grades K–8), a public school in the Long Beach Unified School District.
A school fundraiser and a way to promote health and fitness to the entire area. This family-friendly event is open to all ages and fitness levels. Stroller and wheelchair friendly.
Medals will be given to all finishers.
Awards for the top three 5K finishers.
FREE shirt if registered by 1/4/25.
The Course: Flat, fast, and scenic. It takes place at El Dorado Park East in Long Beach, near the train and playground area. If you’re looking to set a personal record or if you just want to take it easy and take in the scenery, this is the perfect course.

1/24 - RACE DAY: $50
Student 5K (17 and under): $20.00
